JAGDA, Japan Graphic Designers Association (1978 - ),
has been supporting Tohoku children by making and selling these handkerchiefs.
Last winter, more than 500 JAGDA designers offered original designs for handkerchiefs,
and income was donated for the reconstruction assistance in Tohoku area,
after suffering from 3.11.
For this year, they gathered 232 Tohoku children’s own creations/drawings
after holding workshops in 4 elementary schools in Tohoku area,
and made up 385 original handkerchiefs.
Income will be handed to these 4 schools, and children will decide
how they should use it, by themselves.
